about PastelSome of my works can looks maybe too much simplified or not understood completely because I'm using a technique used by someone here too but not known among the most of people, with the word pastel they thinks I'm talking about the school pastels kids use and obviously is not the same thing so... let me put some history i have found about pastels with the help of sources like Wikipedia.
Soft pastel was invented by the minor french artist Jean Perréal (1455-1530) about the ends of XV century.
Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) was one of the first in Italy who started use it in his studies and sketches. In his "Atlantic Code" sheet 247, he recognized the paternity of the technique to Perréal with the sentence "...a new technique for paint with different dry colors...".
However in order to get its popularity as artistic medium, pastel had to wait until the XVII century with the works of famous venetian painter Rosalba Carriera (1675-1757). The peak of its usag

I really love your all of your artwork. I think the best thing about this piece of art, and many of your others, is that there is not too much detail or clarity. Some paintings are beautiful due to their detail, but they often lack a sense of emotion or character that paintings such as this provide. This is not to say that the artwork lacks a need for talent because your ability is far beyond most others I have seen. I am simply stating that you are giving the audience a chance to bond with the image through both the artist's imagination and their own. Well done.
